Well anyways, I was talking about Teykon, whom of which just walked into the classroom wearing that green sweater. He took his place next to me sliding down in the seat so his shoulders were parallell with his knees
"Hey Bird." he said as per usual throwing me a bored look and learning forward in his chair as he pulled out his cell phone and looked at the screen.
"Its Wren." I reminded him for the millionth time.
"mmmmm....I know." he said biting on the nail on his pointer finger. I smiled to myself as the teacher came in setting his breifcase down and pulling the podium towards him. I opened my notebook and uncapped my pen ready to take notes.
Class was boring as usual. I wished desperately i could doze off on my left arm like Teykon could, breathing lightly and waking up when someone coughed or something, but i couldnt as to the fact that i had to keep a 3.9 GPA or higher.
After school i walked off to the transit stop. It was boring rain which meant that the bus would take longer to get there than normal. i sat on the soaking wet green bench next to the bus stop sign and wrapped my arms around myself freezing. It had looked nice enough outside this morning so i had on only jeans and a button up blue shirt.
Loud grumbling met my ears and i looked to the left to see Teykon in a rattling peice of metal. He stopped in the middle of the street and honked at me.
"Hey Bird!" he called.
"It's Wren." I told him.
"You look cold." he noted. I glanced at the line of students forming behind him, looking irritated.
"Thats because i am." i called back to him. He laughed looking down for a minute then turning back to me. He leaned over the passenger seat and unlocked and pushed open the door.
"Get in Bird." he commanded, beaming at me. The rain seemed to heavy and the students in the line behind Teykon started honking. I grabbed my backpack and hurried over to the growling vehicle. I sat down on the cold, hard seat, since Teykon had both the windows open it wasnt much warmer in the car, but at least it was somewhat dry. once i shut the door Teykon stepped on the gas and sped off into town.
Teykon's driving consisted of ten miled over the legal limit, and sharp brain-rattling turns, i was forced to hold onto the arm rest and the top of the window for support. Teykon seemed completely at ease.
"So where in teh world do you live anyways?" he asked after about ten minutes.
"In the North District, on Marque Hill." I told him lessening my hold on teh armrest. Teykon threw me a sideways glace, slowing the car down a bit.
"At Dr. Roaks place?" he said quietly, clearing his throat afterwards.
"mmhmm. Yeah." i said looking out the window. Teykon was driving the legal limit now, somewhat slower, but we were out of the city now and on the country roads by the shoreline.
"How do you know them?" he asked.
"They're my parents." i replied.
"They are not." he said laughing. I looked over at him. hardly anyone knew they weren't my real parents.
"well, they are my foster parents." i replied.
"Oh yeah? Thats hardcore." he said more to himself i think. "Where are your real parents? They off being druglords, childbeaters? they dont love you anymore? they abandoned you?" he asked heading up the hill.
"No they're dead." i said dully, hoping he would hurry up to my house.
"that's harsh. how'd they croak?" he asked.
"Excuse me?!" i asked offended. i had never been asked about my parents ever since the night they had died. the fact that he so blatantly asked me about them quite frankly...pissed me off.
